confessions: my nose is slipping off the grindstone to the tune of about 250 calories every day these past two weeks. Theoretically this will cut my fat loss in half, leaving me a few pounds short of my goal. I'm going to tighten more, though. My goal for this week is to not go above 1500 at least every other day. My actual weight loss is either none or down 1/2 a pound - stupid water weight and digestive issues around this time of the month make a consistent naked dry morning weight not really consistent. But for these next 2 1/2 weeks it should be easier to tell what is going on.

meals:
chocolate cherry protein oatmeal lite
pwo yogurt + 1/2 piece of cold pizza
chocolate butterscotch protein pudding
feta/asparagus (oxygen recipe)
turkey meatballs (oxygen recipe)

nutrition:

exercise: weights with trainer
10 min treadmill walk 10% incline
kneeling lat pull-downs 100X12X1, 110X12X2
compounded with straight arm pull downs 50X10X3
ball back extensions with medicine ball 6X20X3
reverse grip cable bicep curls 30X10X3
one-legged ball hammer curls 12.5X10X2, 12.5X9X1
woodcutters (for obliques) 40X12X3 each side
sit ups with medicine ball toss - a lotX3
bench reverse crunch 20X1, 12X1

I put the D4 entry in twice yesterday - but it didn't seem to take.

Well, my meals on Thursday were the exact same as on Wednesday, except instead of the protein pudding at the end of the day, I had pizza.

nutrition total: 1766 48/32/20

exercise: none

Now for today:
CW 132
GW 127

meals:
sf popsicle (before cardio)
raspberry protein oatmeal lite
shrimp, brown rice, onions, mushrooms
4 hershey's kisses
creamy garlic shells
shrimp meal again
chocolate butterscotch protein pudding
1 lite beer

nutrition: 1757 56/29/15

exercise:
am fasted cardio - 3.1 miles on treadmill, 10 min on elliptical

musings: My butt is not shrinking. My butt is not shrinking. However... I'm back in the cardio groove. I've been a little worried about my knee aching and my hip flexor aching, and my achilles aching. Some aches I've had for years and years and they don't bother me much (right shoulder, hip flexor) - but I do worry about knee and achilles, because I want to push myself, but not cripple myself mid-challenge.

CW - didn't weigh myself this morning
GW 127

meals:
chocolate cherry protein oatmeal lite (less oatmeal)
brown rice, shrimp, onions, mushrooms
cottage cheese, yogurt, blueberries (PWO)
creamy garlic shells with chicken, broccoli
double chocolate protein pudding

nutrition

exercise:
5 min elliptical
new leg workout from trainer:
leg press triple drop sets 50X12+40X12+30X12, (60X12+50X12+40X12)2
single leg hamstring curls 40X12X3
wall sits with medicine ball 60 countX3
calf raises (on leg press machine) 80X12X3
smith machine military press 20X12X3
cable upright rows 30X12X3
bench reverse crunches 40

musings: ya'll may have noticed I haven't done much cardio the past couple days - truth be told I think I injured my left leg cross country skiing - it doesn't seem to affect lifting, but running, DDR, jump roope, and elliptical have all caused pain in my achilles, left calf, and hip flexor. Argh.

CW 134
GW 127

confession - I lied to my nutrition software about my weight this morning. Couldn't bear the recrimination.

meals:
raspberry protein oatmeal (with less oatmeal)
string cheese
chicken breast, green salad, falafel, muffin
PWO yogurt
pistachio protein pudding (I know I put oatmeal earlier. Ew. Pistachio oatmeal?!?)

exercise: weights at gym
jump rope 6 min
ball dumbbell chest press/fly compound sets: (20X12+15X12)X3
ball hip/knee/toe pushups 10/6/6, 10/7/4, 10/7/4 (this seems like it would be a piece of cake but it is not, especially after doing compound chest sets)
ball tricep dips 9/10/10
overhead cable press (triceps) 30X12X3

musings: I'm terribly grumpy today - another 10 inches of snow coming our way :(

CW 135 (!)
GW 127

nutrition:
chocolate cherry protein oatmeal
string cheese
shrimp + onions/mushrooms/peppers + brown rice
cc/yo + blueberries
creamy garlic shells with chicken and broccoli
double chocolate protein pudding

nutrition: 1496 48/36/16

exercise: zero zip nada unless I grab a few minutes of yoga later

musings:
I'm in a holding pattern so far as water weight is concerned for another few days... I'm considering changing my morning oatmeal to 1/4 cup oatmeal + 1/4 cup fiber one, getting rid of 75 carb calories every morning. We'll try it the rest of this week and see how it goes. Maybe I won't notice.

GW 127

meals:
chocolate cherry protein oatmeal
protein pudding
lean beef stir fry
*unprepared for impromptu sister-in-law birthday lunch at Fudruckers (I got a cheeseburger)*
sf popsicleX3

nutrition: 1807 39/27/34
past week: 1709 48/24/28
whole challenge: 1621 49/25/26

exercise:
50 min DDR2

musings:
checked measurements again - have lost an additional inch on my waist and hips (even though this is the three days a month I look like I'm storing a cantelope in my belly), so I will continue to plug away, plug away, plug away.

One thing I am NO GOOD at is resisting temptation at restaurants. 95% of the time I eat at home or meals I have cooked - so when I go to a place like Fudruckers, the prospect of a big yummy burger on a buttered, toasted bun is rather overwhelming. Why order a chicken breast sandwich when I'm going to eat chicken breast 80 more times this week??!! I've been cheating like crazy, and I continued cheating today. Tomorrow beings week six and I'm getting back into things. On the wagon. Fortunately my work-outs have continued perhaps even more intensely this week.

CW 134 (amazing how weeks of hard work can be temporarily undone by a set of ovaries)
GW 127

meals:
raspberry protein oatmeal
string cheese
stir-fry
garlic butter chicken, rice, kale
spinach pizza
nsafudgesicle
ice cream BAD BISOUS

nutrition: 2206/45/22/33

exercise:
cardio at gym
20 min elliptical
20 min treadmill run
5 min treadmill walk

musings: grrrrrrr. All the ice cream has been eaten, though. Man, I am usually not hit by the PMS carb monster this badly. I think it is a combination of reaching that starving set point (130-132), becoming discouraged, and PMS.

Tomorrow Mr. Bisous and I are going cross country skiing after I see my trainer, so soon this ice cream will be a distant memory...hopefully.
